5. What is the mood of this novel? Do you find this novel saddens you in any way? Why?

The mood of this novel throughout the whole story is mostly serious and gloomy and dull. The reason the mood is gloomy is because the setting is in this future time when books are not allowed in the world anymore and there are people burning everyday because they are caught with books. So actually, the mood is serious and gloomy also. This time was very sad to me because i never thought that books would become overrated. There are some happy and jolly parts during the story but those parts aren't the main parts. During the whole story it is a time when there is a lot of fire and just by reading the first couple of pages i could tell that this time was a literally dark time where many people were scared to reveal their books that they keep in the attic or somewhat.
